Brag Academy
Master the mechanics of forging, battling, and dominating the leaderboard.
Understand the Foundation
Everything in Brag starts at The Forge. There are two core items you need to know:
- Templates: These are the "blueprints" or designs. You can create up to 3 templates per Game Title. You can use AI to generate art for them!
- Digital Cards: These are the physical trophies forged from your templates. These are what you actually stake in battles.
Forging requires Diamonds. Once a card is forged, it belongs to you until you lose it in a battle.
High Stakes PvP
The Arena is where you challenge other players. Battles are the heart of Brag.
THE GOLDEN RULE
When you join a battle, you must stake one of your Digital Cards. The winner of the battle takes the loser's card as a trophy.
Battles can be 1v1 or team-based. You can create your own battle room or join an existing one using a QR code or link.
Choose Your Rules of Engagement
Every match created in the Arena is played under one of two distinct combat rulesets. Understanding these is vital before staking your precious cards:
STANDARD
A safer, more strategic mode designed for practicing, casual play, and building up card ratings.
- The losing card loses exactly 1 Heart (Life Point).
- Cards remain in their respective owners' inventories after the battle unless the card runs out of hearts.
- Great for keeping high-rarity designs in circulation while racking up wins.
NO QUARTER
The ultimate high-stakes showdown where there is no safety net. Winner takes everything instantly.
- The loser's staked card is transferred immediately to the winner's inventory as a trophy.
- The loser forfeits their card regardless of how many hearts (Life Points) it had left.
- The winner receives a high Wins Multiplier based on the amount of hearts the opponent's card had, launching them up the leaderboard!
The Third Party
To ensure fairness in high-stakes matches, you can invite a Marshall to your battle room. A Marshall is a neutral user who does not participate in the fight but has the power to declare the official winner based on the results of your game.
Marshalls are essential for professional matches and resolving disputes.
Card UI Indicators
Each Digital Card displays a shorthand for its stats at the bottom. Here is what they mean:
- ❤️❤️❤️: Current Life Points. Lose a battle, lose a heart.
- W: Total Wins recorded in official battles.
- L: Total Losses recorded in official battles.
- R: Win Rate Percentage
(Wins/Total) * 100. -
I: Integrity
(Unique Opponents / max(Matches, Wins)) * 100. Taking the higher of Matches vs. Wins prevents "No Quarter" multipliers from being exploited to bypass opponent variety requirements. - # [ID]: The unique serial number of that specific forged card.
Leaderboard Ranking: The Elo Rating System
To rank the top cards objectively and solve the "small sample size" anomaly (where a card with 1 win could outrank a veteran card with 50 wins), Brag uses the world-standard Elo Rating System:
- Base Rating: Every forged card starts with a baseline rating of 1000 Elo.
- Match Adjustment: When two cards battle, the system calculates their expected chances of winning based on their starting Elo scores.
- If a lower-rated card defeats a higher-rated card, it gains a large boost, and the loser drops significantly.
- If a higher-rated card defeats a lower-rated card, it only gains a small amount of points.
- Anti-Farming: Repeatedly battling the same opponent yields diminishing returns. As you drain their Elo, subsequent victories against them will eventually award +0 Elo points, making stat-farming completely ineffective.
- Legacy Statistics: We still keep your card's raw Win Rate (R) and Integrity (I) statistics fully visible so you can showcase your card's historical performance, but the Elo Rating is what determines your rank on the leaderboard.
Rarity Tiers
The small emoji icon at the bottom indicate the rarity of the digital cards:
- 🪵 Common: 10 or more copies exist.
- 🦄 Rare: 5 to 9 copies exist.
- 🐦🔥 Ultra Rare: Fewer than 5 copies exist. This is the highest level of prestige.
Special Statuses
- Maintained: The card's template is active, and new copies can still be forged.
- ⚠️ Discontinued: The template for this card has been removed or hidden by the creator. No more cards of this design will ever be created again, making Discontinued cards highly collectible and finite. If you burn a discontinued card, it is gone forever.
Build Your Legacy
Winning battles does more than just earn you cards. It levels up your inventory, unlocking prestigious new badges. Here is the path to greatness:
| Badge | Level Rank | Min Wins | Min Win Rate | Min Integrity |
|---|---|---|---|---|
|
Level 1: Casual | 0 | 0% | 0% |
|
Level 2: Competitive | 5 | 51% | 40% |
|
Level 3: Elite | 10 | 60% | 50% |
|
Level 4: Legendary | 15 | 80% | 80% |
|
Level 5: GOAT | 25 | 95% | 90% |
Trophy Collection: Cards won from others are stored in your Trophy Room. These cards display the original creator's name, serving as a permanent record of your dominance.
Recycle Your Collection
Burning is the process of permanently destroying a digital card in exchange for immediate resources.
- Burning Forged Cards: If you burn a card that you created yourself, you will receive a portion of Diamonds back into your wallet.
- Burning Trophies: You can also burn trophies you have won from other players to claim Diamonds. This is a great way to clear out your inventory while funding your next forge.
Warning: Burning is permanent. Once a card is burned, it is removed from the platform forever.
Funding Your Legacy
Diamonds are required to forge new templates and cards. While you can always purchase Diamonds in your Wallet, the platform also provides scheduled support:
- Scheduled Regeneration: Twice a month—on the **15th** and the **last day of the month**—the platform checks all active users.
- The Grant: If your Diamond balance is below the minimum threshold (5 Diamonds), the system will automatically grant you **5 Diamonds** for free during the scheduled regeneration.
This ensures that every player has the opportunity to get back into the forge and rejoin the battle twice every month.
